O Eternal Lord Christ, who art the First and the Last, and the Living One, and who in thy mercy hast brought us safely to the beginning of another year: Accept our thanksgiving for the blessings of the past, renew our strength and courage in the present, and direct all our way in the future; for thy honour and glory, who art the same yesterday, today, and for ever.
