We beseech thee, O God, to accept our praise and thanksgiving for the lives of all thy faithful people who have served thee on earth and are now at rest [and especially thy servant N. whom we have in remembrance today]. Grant, O Lord, that we too may dedicate ourselves to thy service; that following their good example we, with them, may be partakers of thy heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
