Occasional Prayers

O God, the Father of lights, who hast taught us by the blessed doctrine of Saint James that thou hearkenest to the cry of the oppressed, and hast chosen the poor to be rich in faith: Grant us grace, that, renouncing corruptible riches, we may so order all things in righteousness, that the precious fruits of the earth may be abundantly obtained by those who patiently labour; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
