O God, who didst teach thy servant Patrick to love the land of his captivity, and to spend willingly and be spent that he might bring its people unto thee: Grant that in all our troubles we may hear thy voice, and gladly learn what thou wouldest have us to do; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
