Fill us, O God, with thy Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth and Charity; that like the first martyr, Saint Stephen, we may contend earnestly and fearlessly for the faith of the gospel, and also may pray with hearts of love for those that despitefully use us; for the glory of Jesus Christ our Saviour.
