Almighty God, who hast given unto men power to invent for themselves instruments of music, and skill to use them in sounding forth thy praise: Grant that the music heard in this thy house may kindle a spirit of devotion in us thy servants; that we,. taking our part in prayer and praise to thee here on earth, may hereafter be admitted to thy heavenly temple, and join in the everlasting songs of the redeemed around thy throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
