Occasional Prayers

We thank thee, heavenly Father, for the conference which lies before us and which we now begin in thy name. Give us quiet in our minds, seriousness in the depth of our hearts, and the restful spirit which comes from faith in thee. Bless those who are to instruct us, that their words may possess clarity and power. Bless our listening, and give us grace both to understand and to take to heart all that thou wouldest teach us. Bless our fellowship one with another and make us to realize the unity of the Spirit. So come, Lord, and visit us; manifest thy presence, fulfill thine own purpose, and glorify thy holy name.
