O Almighty God, whose blessed Son held communion with thee in the retirement of solitary places: Look mercifully, we beseech thee, upon thy servants who, following his example, do seek in solitude and silence refreshment for our souls and strength for thy service, and grant that we may be abundantly blessed; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
