Occasional Prayers

Eternal and holy God, we ask that thou wilt meet with us in this hour of prayer. As we remember thy love to us, may thanksgiving rise from our hearts. As we remember our failures and sins, may we become contrite and humbly beseech thy forgiveness. As we remember the needs of mankind, may we become more sure that Jesus is the Light of the world, the Bread of life, and the Saviour of all men. As we remember our own need, deepen our trust in thee, renew our faith in thy purpose, and grant us some word from thyself for our comfort and help; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
