Occasional Prayers

Heavenly Father, this is the hour of prayer, and we come to this place where prayer is wont to be made. We come to thee, who hearest prayer. We thank thee for the prayers thou hast answered; for thou hast heard our cry, and hast met our deepest need. We thank thee for the prayers thou hast denied, for often we have asked amiss. Grant us now thy Holy Spirit to help our infirmity, that we may pray as we ought, and our prayers may be acceptable in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
