Occasional Prayers

O God, who in thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord has given us an example of perfect manhood: Give us strength to follow in his footsteps; give us courage ever to stand for the hard right against the easy wrong; give us compassion for weakness, and chivalry towards womanhood; and grant us ever to walk before men as the devoted servants of him who sacrificed his life for the cause of good, and went to the cross for our salvation, even the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
