O God our heavenly Father, who hast called us to be members of thy Church which is the body of thy Son: Grant, we beseech thee, that thy Holy Spirit may direct us now in all our concerns and deliberations for the welfare of this parish. We give thanks to thee for all the blessings of the past year, and for the opportunities of the present time; and we pray thee so to lead us forward into the work that lies before us that we may advance from strength to strength in the service of thy kingdom, and ever magnify thy holy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
