Occasional Prayers

O Risen Christ, who makest intercession for us and in us, and who art the giver of life and health and healing: Fill us with thy life-giving love and power, that we may worthily intercede for others. May the Holy Spirit make us one with those for whom we pray, and deepen our understanding of thy great love for them and for us; and grant that we, giving ourselves to thy good purposes, may be delivered from self-concern and made fit to be channels of thy grace. To thee be all honour and glory and thanksgiving for ever.
