BensonO Merciful Lord, we beseech thee so abundantly to strengthen these thy servants with the sevenfold gift of thy Holy Spirit, that they who are admitted by thine ordinance to the perfection of Christian graces, may grow into the perfection of Christian life, in the exercise of the power which thou hast given them; through thy Son Jesus Christ, our Mediator and Redeemer.
