Most merciful Father, who hast given thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to die for us and to take away the sin of the world: Prepare us in heart and mind so worthily to commemorate his death, by partaking of the bread of life and the cup of salvation, that our lives may be made strong for thy service, and our hearts may rejoice in thee, now and for evermore.
