Occasional Prayers

We praise thee, O God, for all the blessings given to the sick for whom we have prayed. We thank thee for those who have been made whole, for those who are better, and for those who have been drawn closer to thee. We bless thee for the sense of thy presence enabling those who suffer to endure with patience. And finally we thank thee for bringing good out of evil, joy out of suffering, and above all, for the cross of thy Christ and the certain hope of the redemption of body and soul to everlasting life.
