Occasional Prayers

We thank thee, O God our Father, for all thy gifts to us at this harvest time; for the ripened fruit and vegetables and the golden corn that makes our bread. We thank thee too for the harvest of the sea, and for the food that is brought to us from other lands. Give us always grateful hearts for these thy gifts to us; and may we who have plenty remember others who have little. For Jesus Christ’s sake.
