We praise thee, O God, as we remember today how the Holy Spirit the Comforter was given to the first disciples, to make them strong to witness for thee in the world. Strengthen us, we pray thee, by the same Holy Spirit, that we may think rightly, speak truthfully, and live bravely, to the glory of thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
