Irish Prayer Book*O God, the Father of all mankind: We thank thee for thy servants who have gone forth to preach the gospel throughout the world. We praise thee for the witness they have borne in their lives, or by their deaths; for those who have been brought out of darkness into thy marvellous light; and for the churches planted in many dark lands. Grant, we pray thee, that we may show forth our thankfulness by greater zeal for the spread of thy kingdom and more fervent love for all those for whom Christ died; for his holy name’s sake.
