Education Sunday — For Education in Every Land
O God, who art the goal of all knowledge and the source of all truth, who dost lead mankind towards thyself along the paths of discovery and learning: Direct with thy wise Spirit the work of education in every land. Especially we would pray for those who have the difficult task of adapting new knowledge to the mind of ancient peoples. Give them insight into the needs of those whom they teach, humility to learn from their traditions, and wisdom to combine the old and the new; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
