Occasional Prayers

O Lord, who willest that all thy children should be one in thee: We pray thee for the unity of thy Church. Pardon all our pride and our lack of faith, of understanding and of charity, which are the cause of our divisions. Deliver us from our narrow-mindedness, from our bitterness, from our prejudices. Preserve us from considering as normal that which is a scandal to the world and an offence to thy love. Teach us to recognize the gifts of thy grace amongst all those who call upon thee.
