Father in heaven, by whose providence we have come to the end of the year: Grant that we may meet its close with grateful hearts; and we beseech thee to confirm our resolve to amend our ways, and to walk closely with thee in the journey before us, in the faith of thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
