Occasional Prayers

O God, our heavenly Father, who knowest our needs and dost care for us all: We pray for those who give counsel and help to their fellow men; for probation officers and all other social workers; for all who by their skill and training ease the burden of the aged, the lonely, and the perplexed, and guide those who have missed the right way; that they may have both wisdom and sympathy, and see men through the eyes of Christ, who beheld the multitudes distressed and scattered, as sheep not having a shepherd; grant this for his sake, our Lord and Saviour.
