O Heavenly Father, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost: Have compassion, we beseech thee, on the multitudes scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd, especially here in this parish; and enable us so to minister to their needs that they may be brought to thyself and become one flock under one Shepherd, the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
