Occasional Prayers

O Lord our God, who through the preaching of the gospel didst call our fathers into the fellowship of thy true religion, and dost summon us their children to return to thee: Give us grace to hear and obey thy call. Release us from the bondage of ignorance and fear; restore unto us the joy of thy salvation; and so inspire and strengthen us by thy Holy Spirit that by word and good example we may devote ourselves wholly to thy service, for the glory of thy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
