Occasional Prayers

O Lord God, our ruler and guide, who from generation to generation dost grant to thy people the direction of thy wise and loving Spirit: Be present, we pray thee, with us to whom thou hast given in trust the welfare of this diocese. Unite us ever more closely in the fellowship of faith and devotion; and so lead us in all our works and ways that thy people may faithfully serve thee, to the glory of thy name, the extension of thy Church, and the coming of thy kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
