Occasional Prayers

O God, who hast given thy Word to be a lamp unto our feet and a light upon our path: Prosper, we beseech thee, the work of the British and Foreign Bible Society, and increase the support it receives from all who love thy Word. Guide with thy wisdom those who translate the Scriptures; remember in thy goodness those who distribute them; and grant success to all who teach others to read. May the witness of thy Church and the inward testimony of thy Spirit bring all who study the Bible to the knowledge and love of Christ, our Lord and only Saviour.
