Occasional Prayers

Spirit of the living God, source of light and life, who in the days of old didst speak to men by prophets and guided them through apostles into the way of righteousness and truth: We beseech thee to raise up in these days an increasing number of wise and faithful men, filled with prophetic fire and apostolic zeal, by whose ministry the Church may be quickened and thy kingdom greatly advanced; for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord.
