Look with mercy, O God, upon our brethren who are witnesses for thee amidst the conflicts of faiths and peoples, and upon all who suffer for thy name and gospel. Give them patience, constancy and steadfast hope. Make them mediators in time of strife, turning the hearts of those at enmity, that thy kingdom may be advanced and thy Church strengthened by adversity; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
