O Lord our God, whose blessed Son has promised that those who follow him shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life: Have pity upon all who are afflicted by doubt or perplexity, and grant that they may see thy light in Jesus, and learn, amid the mysteries of life, to walk humbly by faith in him. We ask it for his name’s sake.
