O Christ, whose heart was moved with compassion for the hunger of the multitude, and didst use thy disciples to minister to their needs: Fill us with thine own love and concern for the hungry peoples of the world of our day and make us the instruments of thy purpose to relieve their sufferings; for thy tender mercy’s sake.
