Occasional Prayers

Almighty and most merciful Father, who hast taught us not to think of ourselves only, but also for the wants of others; we remember before thee all who are burdened and oppressed, those who are afflicted by poverty, or worn down by disease and illness, the weary and the heavy-laden, those also who are in darkness or despair, or who are suffering for righteousness’ sake. Help them all to rest in thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
