Occasional Prayers

God of our fathers, on whom our confidence is set, who hast delivered us from of old, and wilt still deliver: Support with thy whole might this people in the day of their proving; that they fear not the threatenings and strokes of the enemy, but stand to maintain thy cause, in the faith of thy Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
