O Lord Jesus Christ, who in thy life on earth didst heal both the bodies and souls of men: Guide, we pray thee, all who now minister to body or to soul; and grant that those who serve things spiritual may not despise the body, nor those who treat the body set at nought the soul; but that, patiently seeking to understand the unity of our human nature, they may work together for the cure of all sickness and disease, and for the recovery of that true health which is thy gift to those who wait upon thee. We ask it for thy name’s sake.
