Occasional Prayers

O Lord and heavenly Father, the only wise God our Saviour, we commend to thy grace those who in the training colleges are preparing for their work as teachers in our schools. Foster within them a sense of their vocation and a true dedication to thy service; and so deepen their trust in thee that, in time to come, they may be enabled not only to implant knowledge but to kindle the flame of faith in the lives of those committed to their care; for the honour of Jesus Christ our Lord.
