A Diocesan Service Book*O God, who providest for the creaturely needs of men and hast given them in Jesus Christ the food of their souls: Forgive the stupidity and sin whereby men have abused thy providence and squandered thy gifts. Guide with thy just and peaceable wisdom those who take counsel for the nations and direct our industries; and inspire each of us to share more fairly the produce of thy world, and to be generous to feed the hungry and succour those in want; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
