Occasional Prayers

O God, who hast made us members of the British commonwealth of nations, and hast bound us together as one family under one Queen: Grant that we may ever live in remembrance of our great responsibilities and set before us that righteousness which exalteth a nation. Help us to seek to excel in the practice of faith, courage, duty, self-discipline, fair dealing and true sympathy; that as loyal patriots, good citizens, and a God-fearing people, we may glorify thee, the King of kings and Lord of lords; through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
