O Lord our God, who art the lover of justice and truth: Give thy grace to our parliament and to all who direct the affairs of our nation; and so guide them by thy Holy Spirit, we beseech thee, that by word and deed they may promote the well-being of this people, and set forward peace and goodwill among all men; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
