Occasional Prayers

Almighty and merciful God, without whom all things hasten to destruction and fall into nothingness: Look, we beseech thee, upon thy family of nations and men, to which thou hast committed power in trust for their mutual health and comfort. Save us and help us, O Lord, lest we abuse thy gift and make it our misery and ruin; draw all men unto thee in thy kingdom of righteousness and truth; and renew our faith in thine unchanging purpose of goodwill and peace on earth; for the love of Jesus Christ our Lord.
