O Son of Man, who hast taught us that in ministering to the needs of others we are ministering to thee: Fill our hearts, we beseech thee, with thine own spirit of love and self-sacrifice, and teach us so to see thee in all our suffering brethren that we may serve them gladly for thy sake; who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end.
